Mostra especial de cinema italiano traz vencedores do Oscar dos últimos 20 anos
Evento abre a programação cultural da Festa Della Repubblica Italiana, que também oferece atividades gratuitas na área do teatro e do design

Durante todo o mês de junho, o cinema ganha destaque dentro da programação cultural da Festa Della Repubblica Italiana, organizada pelo Istituto Italiano di Cultura de São Paulo em parceria com outras entidades.  Intitulado de Festival de Cinema Italiano, a mostra especial traz a cada semana um longa vencedor do prêmio Oscar na categoria de Melhor Filme Estrangeiro nos últimos 20 anos. As sessões acontecem no Centro de Integração Empresa-Escola (CIEE), na capital paulista, com entrada gratuita.

Para dar início à programação, no dia 1º exibe-se La Grande Bellezza (A Grande Beleza), último filme italiano a receber o prêmio cinematográfico mais cobiçado do mundo em 2014. Com direção de Paolo Sorrentino, o longa questiona alguns valores por meio da vida mundana e frustrada do personagem Jep Gambardella.

O humor inocente, porém, ácido de Roberto Benigni com La Vita È Bella (A Vida É Bela), é o próximo longa a entrar em cartaz, no dia 8. Imersa em uma Itália durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial (1939-1945), a história foca-se em um pai, que por meio de brincadeiras infantis, traça paralelos com os horrores do conflito para justifica-los e, assim, esconder de seu filho a triste realidade.

Com dobradinha, Nuovo Cinema Paradiso (Cinema Paradiso), de Giuseppe Tornatore, tem exibição nos dias 14 e 29 de junho. Vencedor do Oscar de 1990, o filme é um convite para revisitar a importância do cinema como único (ou um dos poucos) entretenimento de cidades pequenas, além de perpassar pela evolução tecnológica cinematográfica durante as décadas.

Mediterraneo (Mediterrâneo) de Gabriele Salvatores ganha exibição no dia 22. Transformar “guerra” em “amor” é a temática trazida pelo roteiro, que através de um naufrágio, coloca soldados italianos em situação de romance em uma ilha ao se envolverem com os habitantes locais.

Outros destaques na Festa Della Repubblica Italiana

No mês em que se celebra o nascimento da República Italiana, em 1946, o público poderá conferir outras atividades culturais, como exposição escultórica-musical, teatro com homenagem a Pirandello e mostra cinematográfica sobre o Neorrealismo italiano.

Entre 2 de junho a 16 de julho, estará em cartaz no Instituto Tomie Ohtake a exposição OASI- Instalação Adaptativa Escultórica e Musical. Entrada franca.

Já de 2 a 25 de junho, o teatro entra em cena com uma homenagem aos 150 anos de nascimento do dramaturgo, poeta e romancista italiano Luigi Pirandello. O espetáculo “Assim É (Se Lhe Parece)” estará em cartaz no Teatro Itália.

A cidade de São Bernardo do Campo, na grande São Paulo, também recebe parte da programação da Festa Della Repubblica Italiana. Por meio da mostra de cinema La Repubblica Italiana – 70 anni, entre 4 a 11 de junho serão apresentados filmes do período do Neorrealismo italiano. São eles: Paisà, de Roberto Rossellini; Ladri di Biciclette, de Vittorio de Sica; Roma, Città Aperta, de Roberto Rossellini; Bellissima, de Luchino Visconti e Stromboli, de Roberto Rosselini. As sessões são grátis.
